Jones Carbon Flagship 2020
The Jones Carbon Flagship is the high-end freeride snowboard in the Jones range. Made in the same mold as the regular Flagship, but with a completely different structure. The Carbon construction offers the better freeriders the ultimate confidence and grip at high speed. By combining bi-directional carbon with carbon stringers and Hard Core, Jones has succeeded in developing a torsionally stiff and excellent riding board. This board is the real top for on and off-piste work!
Riding style
The Carbon Flagship is made for those looking for a board that can make super fast freeride runs and precise turns in all conditions.
Shape
The Carbon Flagship has a directional shape that increases buoyancy and stability at higher speeds. The classic snowboard shape is directional, designed to ride with a slightly longer nose than tail to keep the pop in the tail, while still giving you enough float, flow and control to rip on any terrain. In deep snow, the blunted nose ensures that less snow comes over the sides of the nose, which would only slow you down. This gives it the benefits of a traditional nose without the extra weight. Enjoy the benefit of Magne-Traction edging to effortlessly turn turns that look tight, whether turned at high or low speed. The Magne-Traction on the edges provides great edge grip on the entire mountain, especially on hard pack and ice. He turns ice into powder. At the ends of the progressive sidecut, the turning radius is increased incrementally as the edge reaches the contact point. Gradually increasing the sidecut radius towards the contact point provides smooth turn initiation and exit as the edge cuts in and out of the snow with a less abrupt transition.
Profile
The directional rocker profile has a camber under the foot with a larger rocker area in the nose than in the tail. The buoyancy of the rocked nose provides extra maneuverability while the camber underfoot provides edge grip and response. The light rocker in the tail provides power and stability and keeps the tail catch-free when you start turns and land this switch.
The new SPOON 3D base is specially made for the "new sliding". The smooth radius of the SPOON nose and tail edges reduces friction at the contact points. With less friction and catch in the points, you get more speed, buoyancy and flow. The freeride-focused Spoon 3.0 3D Base contour features an even balance of the spoon's 7mm bevel in the nose and the spoon's 7mm bevel in the tail. This starts in the rocker.
Flex
The flex of the board is stiff, it goes as fast as you want without any problems, it has precise responsiveness and you can jump bigger jumps than anyone has ever done before.
