Starboard Airplane

The Starboard Airplane Inflatable Windsurf Board 2026 is Starboard's inflatable windsurf board. The board can be inflated to 18 PSI, making it super stiff and sturdy. The Airplane comes with foot straps and a special mast base, making it almost as good as a regular windsurf board.

The Starboard invention team created a planing inflatable windsurf board. A patented 3D elastomer composite rail edge runs along the board's rails, creating a hard edge that provides course stability and higher speed, while still folding and rolling up. They have improved the Rail Edge to improve grip while jibing.

The Airplane is about 1.5 kg lighter, which is a big difference from the previous 2024 model.

The design has also been updated to the so-called race design.

For the Airplane, Starboard has both increased the top speed and reduced air resistance. The Airplane has a fixed fin box, allowing the board to plane well. The board's shape is now even more streamlined, allowing it to glide through the water super fast.

Starboard's new welding technology turns two layers into one: heat bonds two separate pieces of PVC into a single solid unit. Heat-welded PVC creates a mechanical bond that is stronger and lasts longer
